Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Mission Hills, California. This ICU travel assignment covers high-acuity patient care in a magnet designation hospital with neuro, cardiovascular, trauma, stroke, and surgical cases. The 16-week contract requires CA RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and 2 years ICU experience.

Schedule is 36 hours per week with 12-hour nights. Float rotations may occur between PCU/ICU overflow.

Qualifications

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse located in the healthcare providers facility. This position involves providing high-acuity patient care in a busy, fast-paced, magnet designation hospital setting with specialized neuro, cardiovascular, trauma, stroke, and surgical cases. The role requires strong neuro and cardiovascular experience to manage complex patients effectively.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, LA City Fire Card.
• Education and Experience: 2 years of ICU experience, CA license required, minimum 1 year of experience, current LA Fire Card within last 30 days.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing trauma, stroke, STEMI, surgical, cardiovascular, and neuro cases, with oversight of ventilated patients, invasive lines, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experience managing arterial lines, chest tubes, CVA/adult stroke, cardiac and neuro procedures, and use of bedside monitors required.
• Additional information: Float rotation may be required between units such as PCU and ICU overflow; travelers will not be required to assist with ICP monitoring or placement, IABP, or GI procedures at the bedside if unstable.
