Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a VA or compact license, at least one year of ICU experience, and strong arrhythmia skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a 20-bed ICU caring for adult and neuro ICU patients, as well as sepsis cases
• Patient population includes critically ill adults, neuro patients, and sepsis cases
• Typical patient ratios are 1:1-2 depending on staffing
• Required skills include care involving sepsis, conscious sedation, ventilators, IABP, pressors/drips, and PA catheters
• Equipment in use includes Alaris pumps, Hercules beds, tube feeding, NGT, chest tubes, and wound vacs
• Work schedule is 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and major holiday required
• Navy blue, white, or any combination of these colors are acceptable for scrubs
• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, medication administration, and serving as a primary care coordinator
• In-person testing for advanced arrhythmia is required during orientation, with study materials provided in advance
• Major holiday coverage is required according to unit scheduling policies

Requirements
