Job Summary

House Supervisor Level 1 (House Super 1) Gardner, Massachusetts

House Supervisor Level 1 provides immediate leadership and follow‑up during critical events and serves as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff. This role includes evaluating and adjusting staffing levels to support the highest level of patient care, delivering clinical consultation, and supporting patient, family, and staff needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Rotating D/N; 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week
• Provide leadership and follow‑up during critical events such as code blue, code red, and code 100.
• Respond immediately to critical events.
• Adjust staffing levels to ensure the highest level of patient care; evaluate staffing needs continuously and adjust as necessary to meet patient needs for the current and next shifts.
• Function as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff, providing clinical consultation, advice, and education.
• Assist staff with problems; complete employee performance evaluations by due dates.
• Support conflict resolution and mediation (staff/physician, patient/physician, staff/staff) and communicate situations appropriately.
• Advocate for patients, families, and staff; intervene on patient/staff behalf; support patient rights.
• Support other departments to meet patient needs and maintain operations of other departments during non‑operating hours.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Current RN registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Previous experience in management and/or leadership role.
• Three to four years acute care experience preferred.
