Role:
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing urgent care to patients with various illnesses or trauma, recognizing and treating life-threatening conditions, and prioritizing care through triage.
- Key Duties: Assess, intervene, and stabilize patients quickly; make accurate physical and mental health assessments; prioritize injuries based on medical need; and respond decisively to diverse emergency situations.
- Qualifications: Active RN license, degree from an accredited nursing program, and at least 18 months of recent acute care ER experience. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC may be required depending on the facility.
- Skills: Ability to perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, and handle high-pressure situations with decisiveness and clinical expertise.
- Key Responsibilities: Recognize and treat critical conditions, ensure proper triage, and provide comprehensive emergency care to diverse patient populations.
