TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Olympia Fields, Illinois.

The position requires ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and at least one year of critical care experience. COVID vaccination preferred. Assignment is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts, with float between ICU and Tele as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS are required.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care.
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct patient care in ICU and related units.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

4. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred
5. COVID vaccination/boosters preferred. Float between ICU and Tele. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
