Emergency Room Nurse in Spokane, WA is a travel assignment in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a 24-bed facility. You will manage trauma, psychiatric, cardiac, stroke and medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting, using EPIC EMR for charting and orders.

The assignment runs 13 weeks with 12-hour night shifts totaling at least 36 hours per week; orientation includes 1 week general and 24 weeks on unit, with potential float rotations.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIHSS/MOAB/CPI and TNCC required; ENPC/ACLS preferred.
• 0 years experience accepted; 3–5 years trauma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ED for trauma and diverse cases.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and orders.
• Participate in orientation and on-unit training; may float as needed.

The position requires managing diverse patient cases, including trauma, psychiatric, cardiac, stroke, and medical-surgical needs, within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Details

• Location: Spokane, WA
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MOAB/CPI (may start without MOAB/CPI as per recent communication), and TNCC; PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are preferred.
• Qualifications: RN license with 0 years of experience required; 3-5 years of experience in a Level 3 or higher trauma setting preferred.
• Skills: RSI, conscious sedations, lines, drains, tubes, general ER skills, EPIC experience required for preceptor and traditional travelers.
• Support on the Unit: CNA/ER Techs, receptionists, charge nurses, phlebotomy, resource nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and bedside monitoring.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication system, bedside and centralized monitors.
• Orientation: 1 week general, 24 weeks on unit, with additional training for preceptors.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
