Job Summary

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for a specialized neonatal and pediatric critical care unit located at a hospital with a focus on open heart surgery. This role involves providing high-level nursing care to critically ill children in a Level Three-CICU setting, supporting a 13‑week assignment with rotating day and night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12‑hour rotating shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Will consider Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with 6 years of experience; Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or multi‑state compact license; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); 2‑3 years of staff RN experience in dedicated cardiovascular pediatric intensive care unit (CVPICU) or pediatric CICU (open heart); prior travel experience.
• Required Certifications: PALS Heartcode, ACLS Heartcode (no Heartcode complete), BLS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCR N) and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience preferred (please note in work history). Teaching hospital experience is strongly preferred.
• Additional Information: The facility reserves the right to float or reassign personnel within thirty‑five (35) miles of the primary assignment location, as needed; No Request for Time Off approved within the first two weeks; Exemptions for medical or religious influenza vaccination are permitted.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
