Cross Country Nurses in Nashville, TN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a 26-week assignment. This role involves 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, demanding cardiovascular operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma setting.

You will scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries, handle call responsibilities, and join a team caring for complex procedures such as CABG, valve work, ECMO, VAD, and transplants. Orientation dates are scheduled, and travel housing and insurance are provided.

Job Summary

Operating Room Open Heart Specialist in a Level 1 trauma facility. This position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room environment with a focus on complex cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, heart failure treatments, ECMO, VAD, and transplant surgeries. The role requires collaboration within a high-acuity setting, providing specialized care for adult patients.

Job Details

• Position Description: CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) RN 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with call requirements for all travelers in cardiac surgery. Orientation dates are set for 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, and 12/7, with no orientations during the weeks of 11/23, 12/2, and 12/28 due to holidays.
• Certifications/Education/Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) experience and prior travel experience. Must be able to scrub per the unit leader; circulating experience in cardiac surgeries also required.
• Special Requirements: Must be willing to take call (3 layers of call, 24/7, with requirements varying every 6 weeks) in addition to working three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with complex cardiac patients including adult congenital, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, and trauma cases. The candidate may float between ORs but not locations.
