Job Summary

The organization is seeking a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse for an assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Specialty. This position involves providing immediate post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients, including those who have undergone procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, and other vascular and thoracic surgeries. The role requires managing ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and specialized cardiovascular interventions to support patient recovery.

Job Details

• Position Description: CVICU RN Days 36 hours per week; shift schedule includes 3x12-hour shifts (07:30 AM - 07:30 PM); contract duration of 13 weeks beginning 10/26/2026.
• Required Qualifications: RN license in MD or a current Compact license, BLS, and ACLS certifications; relevant experience including open heart and cardiovascular surgery care (minimum 2 years preferred), and at least 1 year of ICU experience.
• Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Immediate post-op care for cardiac surgery patients; 1:1 care for first 12 hours; vent management with respiratory therapy support; patient ratios of 1:2 on CVICU, with potential to float to lower acuity units such as IMC. Float rotation, including to IMC and lower acuity units, may be required.
• Certifications: ACLS certification required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit confirmed MD state license, BLS, ACLS certificates, and evidence of compliance with onboarding deadlines.
