Job Summary

An Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) RN is needed in an organizations cardiac intensive care setting. This role involves providing specialized critical care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those with complex diagnoses such as CABG, valve repair, STEMI, NSTEMI, AFIB with RVR, and cardiogenic shock. The position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment requiring strong clinical skills and experience in cardiovascular critical care.

Job Details

• Position Type: Registered Nurse (RN) with active Maryland or Compact licensure, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
• Specialty: ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OH) immediate post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients with experience in arterial line management, chest tube management, ventilator care, central line care, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (1930-0800), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Maryland or Compact State RN license, ACLS, BLS, at least 1 year of nursing experience with cardiovascular intensive care, familiarity with arterial line management, chest tube management, ventilated patient care, and advanced cardiac procedures.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, invasive monitoring, and performing various cardiovascular procedures. Float within scope to sister units and lower acuity areas as needed. No pre-scheduled on-call required.
• Certifications: CPI, BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA approved).
• Schedule Details: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must have their documentation submitted five days prior to start, complete onboarding labs within 72 hours of signing, and accept shifts without interviews.
