Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel CVICU RN in Baltimore, MD to join a 13-week assignment. The role requires 36 hours per week, with 3x12 night shifts (19:00–07:30) and a rotating schedule.

Ideal candidates have CVICU RN experience, Maryland license, and relevant certifications such as BLS/ACLS/NHISS. This travel position offers exposure to high-acuity cardiothoracic patients and complex procedures.

• Shift & Assignment Details:
  • 3x12 Nights (19:00–07:30)
  • 13-Week Assignment
• Unit Details & Equipment:
  • Daily Census / Beds: 15 rooms/beds (Avg. Daily Census: 10)
  • Patient Age Group: Adults / Geriatrics
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1, up to 1:3 with stable, lower acuity patients
  • Common Diagnoses: Cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias (heart blocks, rhythm disruptions), MI, PH, advanced therapy workups (LVAD, heart transplant), mechanical support devices (IABP, Impella), Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hypertensive urgency/emergency
  • Special Procedures: Bedside central/A-line insertions, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, Swan/PA cath insertion, Targeted temperature management, CRRT
  • Special Equipment: Impella, VAD, IABP, CRRT, Vent, Cooling Device, CCO Monitor
• Floating & Schedule Requirements:
  • Weekends: Every other weekend required
  • Holidays: Required as scheduled/as they fall
  • Floating: Required within specialty and to lower acuities (occasionally to ICU, Cardiac PCU) as needed
  • On-Call: May be required

Job Requirements

• Experience Required:
  • Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted with strong CVICU skill/experience
  • Level I & II Trauma experience preferred
• Licenses Required:
  • Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLs (AHA)
  • CPI (Calm Every Storm online version only)
  • NIHSS
  • CCRN (Preferred)
