American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing assignment in Evansville, Indiana. The position features a 13-week duration with night shifts (12 hours) and a 36-hour workweek.

You will work in an 8-bed CVICU caring for post-surgical cardiothoracic and vascular patients, using Edwards and GE monitors. Indiana or compact RN license is required, with 2+ years of CVICU experience, BLS and ACLS. NIH certs are a plus. Local candidates may be considered with a radius rule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of critical care and cardiac critical care experience.
• Open heart recovery and post cardiac procedure recovery experience required.
• Indiana or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required.
• NIH certification preferred or required per group assignment.

Responsabilités

• Care for post-surgical cardiothoracic, vascular, thoracotomy, TAVR and complex PCI patients.
• Operate in an 8-bed CVICU with ICU monitoring equipment.
• Manage patient ratios from 1:1 to 1:3 during night shifts.
• Perform central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, references, and certifications for consideration.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Cardiovascular ICU position requiring critical care background and Indiana or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in an 8-bed Cardiovascular ICU in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3
• Care for post-surgical cardiothoracic, vascular, thoracotomy, TAVR, and complex PCI intervention patients
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Edwards and GE monitors, SWAN Ganz catheters, and manage post-open heart and post-cardiac procedures
• Central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements are performed
• All candidates must have a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate due to a radius rule
• Detailed references, license verification, and copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Covid vaccination is no longer required
• Scrubs or dress code details have not been specified
