Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Clairton, Pennsylvania. The role is a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, daytime shifts.

The Cath Lab RN will assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasties, and device implants in a cardiovascular surgical environment. The ideal candidate has ACLS and BLS certifications, with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience; travel nurses receive benefits and weekly pay as part of TotalMed

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Support angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements.
• Aid in pacemaker and ICD implants.
• Maintain and monitor EKG equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Work in a cardiovascular surgical environment with the team.
• Stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

We're looking for Cardiac Cath Lab RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Clairton, PA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a Cath Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment providing assistance to the physician including maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment, and assisting during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Learn complex technologies effectively.
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization as a way to diagnose heart conditions or as a treatment.
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements.
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift 20 pounds easily. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.
• Possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

ACLS, BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
