Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. The position is for 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with a start date of 10/05/2026. The unit has 5 bays and 1 procedure room. Shift is 8 hours, days, with weekend rotation once per month.

EMR is Cerner, and an RN supervisor is on the floor for support. Must have 2+ years in Cath Lab/IR and BLS/ACLS. First-time traveler not accepted. Free parking onsite.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Cath Lab AND/OR Interventional Radiology.
• Experience in Cardiac Cath, Angiograms, IR cases (paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy tubes).
• Sedation administration and recovery of sedation patients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care on the Cath Lab unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on IR cases.

• Experience Required: 2+ years in Cath Lab AND/OR Interventional Radiology. Cardiac Cath, Angiograms, IR cases such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy tubes. Administration of sedation, recovery of sedation patients, arterial access recovery. Experience in a multidisciplinary team.
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? no
• Certs Required: BLS, ACLS
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Inpatient/Outpatient ED
• Support on the Unit: RN supervisor on the floor that would oversee the traveler
• EMR: Cerner
• Floating: no.
• Orientation (facility and unit): dependent on experience.
• Scrub Color: Procedural, provided.
• Beds: 5 Bays/1 procedure room
• Scheduling: Weekend rotation: once per month
• RTO Approval: Manager approval
• Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? Yes, 1 night per week 4pm-6pm and rotating weekends
