TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Calhoun, GA. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week with day shift opportunities. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care experience and holds ACLS and BLS certifications.

You will assist during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty and electrophysiology in a cardiovascular surgical environment. You'll join a skilled team, handle EKG equipment, and support physicians in complex procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; at least 2 years acute care experience.
• Prior Cath Lab/cardiology experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor EKG equipment and assist during procedures.
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and angioplasties.
• Support implant procedures for pacemakers and ICDs.

We're looking for Cardiac Cath Lab RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Calhoun, GA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a Cath Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment providing assistance to the physician including maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment, and assisting during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.

• Learn complex technologies effectively.
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization as a way to diagnose heart conditions or as a treatment.
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements.
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Lifts easily 20 pounds, and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
