Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in Manteca, CA seeks a Float Clinician I to provide a full range of reproductive health services across affiliated centers with travel to Tracy, Stockton, and occasionally Oakland, Hayward, Modesto. The position pays $75-$79/hour with an affiliate differential of up to $3-$6/hour.

The role includes clinical care such as contraception, abortion care, STI management, gender-affirming care, and emergency coverage, plus training and teamwork across a network of centers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA/WHNP/CNM program.
• Current, unrestricted CA license to practice.
• Board Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification current or within 30 days of hire.
• Strong customer service mindset and teamwork ability.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medical and social histories of reproductive health patients.
• Perform medical screening procedures/exams for male and female patients.
• Interpret lab data and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Provide contraceptive methods, including self-administered options and injections.
• Manage basic STI and genitourinary conditions.
• Provide medication abortion when indicated.
• Prescribe and educate on emergency contraception.
• Diagnose and treat uncomplicated STIs and genitourinary conditions.
• Provide gender-affirming hormone therapy and related care.
• Offer premenopausal and menopausal health services.
• Act as medical consultant to clinic staff.
• Manage emergency situations and participate in staff training.

Patient-Centered Exams & Management

• Conduct and interpret medical histories for sexual and reproductive health visits.
• Perform pelvic and breast exams, Pap smears, and other screening procedures.
• Order and interprets laboratory tests; ensure timely follow-up.
• Manage urgent health situations that arise during clinic operations.

Team Engagement

• Act as a clinical resource for medical assistants and support staff.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to clinic productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Women’s Health NP (WHNP), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice in the state of California.
• Board Certification
• CPR/BLS certification (current or within 30 days of hire).
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to thrive in a team-based environment.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows-based systems)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in reproductive health, OB/GYN, gender-affirming care, or family planning.
