Qualifications

• ARRT certification in nuclear medicine or NMTCB.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Preferred: 1 year of post-graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Responsabilités

• Perform nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams, and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
• Assist Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
• Complete ancillary duties required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
• Document essential information necessary for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Verify written/electronic orders and health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of NM exams and procedures.
• Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators as outlined in the strategic plan.
• Complete documentation concerning the administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with regulations.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing general nuclear medicine examinations, including on-call services, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in an acute care environment. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and quality control within the department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: One (1) year of post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
