LanceSoft is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This travel role requires 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts.

• --35% Patient Care:
  • Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures by explaining the process, obtaining medical histories, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients throughout the nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Address any patient concerns or discomforts and ensure their safety and well-being during the imaging process.
• --35% Radiopharmaceutical Administration, Imaging Procedures, and Image Analysis:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to prescribed protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper dosage and injection technique to optimize imaging results.
  • Operate gamma cameras and other specialized imaging equipment to capture images of radioactive tracers within the patient's body. Follow established protocols for image acquisition and processing.
  • Analyze nuclear medicine images to identify abnormalities or areas of interest.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret findings and assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
• --10% Radiation Safety:
  • Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.
  • Maintain accurate records of radiation doses administered and monitor radiation levels in work areas.
• --10% Quality Control and Documentation/Reporting:
  • Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as needed and elevate concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, including patient information, radiopharmaceutical doses administered, imaging parameters, and image interpretations.
  • Generate accurate reports for inclusion in patient medical records.
• --10% Education:
  • Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology, procedures, and safety regulations through ongoing education and professional development activities.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the orientation of staff.
