Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: Nebraska. This position involves performing quality diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under supervision to ensure accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment. The role supports teaching and research activities related to nuclear medicine within the organization.

Job Details

• Position Description: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Utilize departmental resources to ensure timely and accurate imaging, addressing age-specific patient needs. Participate in teaching and research activities related to nuclear medicine.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine program; current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and/or the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT); AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; knowledge of computers interfaced with gamma cameras; knowledge of radioactive materials, doses, and flood sources; experience with patient monitoring and radiation safety equipment; ability to work with radioactive materials safely.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior clinical experience; ability to handle patients and families effectively across all age groups; strong communication and personal skills; knowledge of nuclear medicine gamma cameras from varying manufacturers.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with variable start times depending on staffing needs.
• Additional Information: This need is for work in both the department and mobile settings. Candidate must meet specific education, certification, and experience requirements, including PET experience, and must be willing to work in both settings. The role includes non-billable orientation hours and adheres to a 36-hour call-off policy every 13 weeks.
