Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine, registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and possession of BLS and ARRT certifications are required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Performs all aspects of patient exam activities of nuclear medicine at a technical level that will produce high-quality images in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort and confidence.
• Operates and maintains all assigned nuclear imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Performs diagnostic studies, including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
• Properly identifies, prepares, and/or administers medications/substances within the technologists scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
• Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self.
• Maintains required documentation, logs, charts, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
• Performs routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocols for all imaging equipment.
• May assist other areas of radiology as assigned.
• Submission requirements: Must provide verification of licenses (LARA and Nursys for nurses, if applicable) and certifications listed above.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
