Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Boston, MA. The role requires CNMT/ARRT-N certification, state licenses, and 5-7 years of radiology experience. Schedule is days, 40 hours/week, with potential Saturday work.

Outpatient imaging using GE Discovery NM Camera; duties include FDG/PSMA/Amyloid studies, charting in Epic, and serving as a resource for students and staff. Flu vaccine required.

Qualifications

• CNMT/ARRT-N certification required
• State Nuclear Medicine license required
• State Radiologic Technologist license preferred
• CT state license preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, though equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
• 5-7 years of Radiology or a comparable field experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• License required if applicable
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent work skills required
• Ability to guide, teach, and motivate students and staff
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and reaching required

Responsibilities

• Independently perform advanced nuclear medicine procedures with correct technical factor selection and optimal equipment settings
• Prepare patients for procedures including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning
• Explain procedures to patients considering physical and emotional needs
• Record images for radiologist interpretation
• Serve as a specialist resource for advanced and new programs, providing guidance to students and staff
• Maintain required documentation regarding receipt and administration of radioactive materials
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of Boston, at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers may be considered
