Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 15-week travel assignment in Peoria, IL. The role entails preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety under radiation standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech
• Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Educates patients about nuclear medicine procedures.
• Maintains and inspects nuclear medicine equipment for proper functioning and radiation safety compliance.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other medications per established protocols and safety standards.
• Monitors patients for adverse reactions to radioactive drugs or other administered medications.
• Operates imaging equipment to create images of organs or areas per physician orders.
• Documents procedure details in patient records for continuity of care.
• Follows hospital and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure.
• Performs other duties within Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice.
