American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Columbus, GA. You will perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for both pediatric and adult patients in a hospital/clinic setting.

The role requires 2+ years of NM experience, NMTCB/ARRT NM certification, and BLS. Shift is days, 8 hours, with potential call and occasional travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
• Experience with HIDA, bone, and SPECT imaging is preferred.
• Proficiency in IV starts and patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures for pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Coordinate with hospital and clinic teams; monitor for STAT inpatient coverage.
• Ensure images are acquired using GE/Siemens systems and documented in PACS.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years experience and NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM) certification for a hospital and clinic setting serving pediatric to geriatric patients.

Details

• Hospital and clinic setting serving pediatric to geriatric patients
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
• No weekend shifts except when assigned call
• Possible float to another campus for STAT inpatient coverage
• Possible call Mon-Fri 4:00 PM-10:00 PM and Sat-Sun 8:00 AM-10:00 PM, 1-2 days per week and every fourth weekend
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and PACS systems
• Performs HIDA scans, bone scans, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying studies, brain death studies, myocardial perfusion SPECT, I-123 scan/uptake, I-131 whole body scan, I-131 ablations (<30 mCi), renal scans with or without Lasix, and parathyroid studies
• Equipment includes GE and Siemens imaging systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Community hospital experience required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with bone scans, SPECT imaging, thyroid studies, renal studies, cardiac stress testing (adenosine, persantine, pharmacological), and lung ventilation/perfusion scans
• Ability to start and maintain IVs
• Comfortable working with adult and pediatric patient populations
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Performs a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures across cardiac, renal, hepatic, pulmonary, and skeletal systems
• Scrub colors accepted are black, gray, or purple
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Previous Piedmont employees or travelers must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers who canceled or were not asked back must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
