Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Charleston, South Carolina. The role covers 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts (Days).

Under medical supervision, you will perform procedures and help supervise student radiologic technologists while maintaining strong patient relations. You will ensure patient safety, accuracy of orders, and adherence to radiation safety standards (ALARA).

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform and teach Nuclear Medicine exams to produce diagnostic images.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA and TJC standards and regulations.
• Responsible for safe operation of Nuclear Medicine and post processing equipment.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients during imaging procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment with attention to minimizing repeats.
• Instructs patients regarding imaging procedures and obtains informed consent as needed.
• Enter correct orders, diagnosis and clinical history in the system; communicate with Radiologists.
• Adhere to safety policies and ALARA principles; maintain licensure; support department projects.
