Job summary

Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in Flint, Michigan. This role focuses on performing all aspects of nuclear medicine imaging while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualified candidates will have AMA-approved nuclear medicine training, ARRT or NMTCB registration, and current BLS certification. The position runs Monday–Friday with a biweekly on-call schedule and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine is required.
• Registration in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Specializes in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging.
• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort and confidence.
• Operates and maintains all imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Performs diagnostic studies by measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes to obtain images as requested by a physician.
• Identifies, prepares, and/or administers medications/substances as prescribed within the technologist’s scope of practice.
• Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety to minimize exposure, complying with regulatory standards.
• Maintains all required documentation, logs, charts, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
• Ensures adequate supply of consumables to perform quality testing.
• Conducts routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment.
• May assist in other areas of radiology as needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.
