Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based role in New Jersey. The position requires 2+ years of Nuclear Medicine experience and includes bone, brain, liver, renal, lung, and myocardial studies, plus Nuclear Cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities include 1:1 patient care, SPECT imaging, and use of GE Optima 640 SPECT and Siemens Symbia. 5x8 hour days, independent work under lead technologist, Epic charting preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
• ARRT(N) and CNMT certification preferred.
• Fusion/PET experience a plus but not required.
• Experience with bone scans, brain scans, cerebral blood flow, liver/spleen scans, renal scans, and sestamibi parathyroid scans preferred.
• Skilled in drawing venous blood, starting/maintaining IVs, isolation precautions/PPE, and handling/storing radioactive materials.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Active NJ or Compact license required if applicable.

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving adult patients.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Performs Nuc Med procedures including bone, brain, liver, renal, lung, and myocardial studies.
• Nuclear Cardiology procedures including exercise/rest myocardial studies, Persantine infusion, and pharmacological stress testing.
• SPECT imaging experience required.
• Uses GE Optima 640 SPECT and Siemens Symbia equipment.
• Epic charting preferred.
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Works independently and under direction of the lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role.
• Black scrubs required.
• Former RWJBH employees must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.

• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
