Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring an Internal Traveler Registered Respiratory Therapist to Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This short-term contracted role requires a commitment of 36 hours per week for up to 12 weeks, with opportunity to renew.

It is a night shift position serving the NICU caseload. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders, administer therapies, manage ventilators, perform diagnostic tests, and collaborate with physicians

Qualifications

• Certificate in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy is preferred.
• BLS is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Florida license for Respiratory Therapist required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with breathing disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies and manage ventilators.
• Perform diagnostic pulmonary function tests.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and respiratory care support.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.
