Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for NICU, Neonatal Intensive Care, in Evansville, IN. This 13-week assignment runs 36 hours/week with 12-hour night shifts, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The NICU RN provides specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns, operating advanced NICU equipment, and supporting families. A valid RN license, BLS, and NRP are required, with one year of NICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent NICU RN experience.
• Current RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill neonates in the NICU.
• Administer medications and treatments per NICU protocols.
• Operate and manage NICU equipment (ventilators, CPAP, infusion pumps).
• Educate families on neonatal care and procedures.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
