Job summary

Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse for NICU travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. The position runs for 13 weeks starting 10/26/2026, with nights, three 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week.

This travel role requires NICU experience, flexible cross-training and potential float to Pediatrics, and provides weekly pay between $2,113 and $2,244. Housing and benefits details will be discussed during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Refer to Job Notes for licensing, certification, experience, and education requirements
• NICU experience and cross-training ability may be required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, coordination, and provision of nursing care to NICU patients on assigned shifts
• Conduct comprehensive neonate assessments, document physiological changes, and adjust care plans accordingly
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses per unit protocols
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the multidisciplinary team and advocate for the patient and family needs
• Educate families on newborn care, discharge planning, and psychosocial considerations; support family engagement in care
• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; cross-train and float to Pediatrics as required
