American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a NICU RN for a night-shift travel contract in Texas. The role requires 2 years of NICU experience and on-call availability, with a Level 4 NICU preference. Active TX or compact RN license and essential certifications are required.

The position offers a 13-week assignment with night hours 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, on-call duties, and a travel-friendly package including housing support and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license
• 2 years of NICU experience required
• NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• No certifications expiring within 30 days of start date
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• 65-bed NICU within the Acute building at a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• On-call requirements apply
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1
• Uses isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps
• Charts in Meditech and CPN
• Unit staffed with charge nurse, team lead, transport nurse, RNs, RTs, and unit assistants on both day and night shifts
• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 4 NICU setting
• Navy scrub color required
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, adaptable attitude are valued on this unit
• Permanent positions also available on night shift and weekend days
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
