Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Thornton, CO. The role offers 36 hours per week with night shifts, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.
As part of our team, you’ll provide specialized care to critically ill neonates, operate advanced NICU equipment, and collaborate with a dedicated clinical team to support families and ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor critically ill and premature newborns, identify changes and document conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per neonatal nursing techniques.
- Perform neonatal assessments, vital signs, weight checks, and screenings.
- Operate NICU equipment (ventilators, CPAP, infusion pumps) with proper function.
- Assist with life-saving and diagnostic procedures (umbilical line placement, intubation).
- Educate and support parents on neonatal care, feeding, and developmental care.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
