Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel assignment in Newark, New Jersey. The RN will provide direct and specialized care for newborns in the NICU, working 12-hour night shifts for 36 hours per week over a 13-week duration, with credentials and client requirements to be determined by the facility.

Requirements include 18 months of recent acute care NICU experience, RN license, BLS, PALS and NRP, and degree from an accredited nursing

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care NICU setting
• Active RN License
• BLS, PALS, & NRP Certifications
• Degree from accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy.
• Work in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.
