Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Odessa, Texas. The RN will work 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, providing critical care to sick and premature infants alongside the care team.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and PALS certifications. The role offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and full benefits through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE and PALS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care RN experience preferred.
• Travel nursing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants transitioning to extrauterine life.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust care as needed.
• Administer nutrition and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, start IVs, and manage arterial/IV therapy.
• Monitor equipment such as incubators and ventilators.
• Support parents and provide education for home care.
