Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers critical care for critically ill newborns and requires collaborative teamwork with Neonatology and therapy staff.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Preferred: RNC-NIC, PALS/ENPC or other certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and monitors critically ill and premature newborns, identifying changes and documenting conditions.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per neonatal nursing techniques.
• Performs neonatal assessments including vitals and screenings.
• Operates NICU equipment like ventilators, CPAP, and infusion pumps.
• Educates families on neonatal care and developmental support.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during exams and procedures.
• Develops individualized care plans with the team.
• Adheres to infection control and regulatory standards.
