Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU for a 13-week assignment in Hartford, CT. The NICU RN will provide specialized care to critically ill newborns, operate life-support equipment, and support families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires 1 year of NICU experience, an active RN license, and current BLS/NRP certifications. Travel, 36 hours per week, nights, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and monitors critically ill and premature newborns; documents changes and responses.
• Operates and manages advanced NICU equipment such as ventilators and CPAP.
• Educates and supports parents on neonatal care and feeding techniques.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans in collaboration with the team.
• Adheres to infection control, hospital safety, and regulatory standards.
