MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Charlottesville, Virginia. The NICU RN will provide direct newborn care in a high-acuity NICU, collaborating with physicians and the care team to implement care plans for high-risk neonates.

The ideal candidate has at least 18 months of NICU experience, an active RN license, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications and will work 12-hour night shifts on a 13-week assignment with a 48-hour

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy.
• Work in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.
