Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a NICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Charlottesville, VA. The role covers newborns in a NICU, with nights and 12-hour shifts, and a 36-hour workweek. You will join a dedicated clinical team and support families while delivering high-quality care.

The position requires one year of NICU experience, active Virginia RN license, and current BLS and NRP certifications. Travel benefits and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent NICU RN experience.
• Active RN license in Virginia.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• Current NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill or premature newborns.
• Administer prescribed medications per NICU protocols.
• Perform neonatal assessments including vitals and weights.
• Operate NICU equipment like ventilators and CPAP machines.
• Assist with life-saving procedures (umbilical line placement, intubation).
• Educate and support parents on neonatal care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during exams.
• Develop care plans in collaboration with the team.
