Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a NICU travel nurse to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. This travel assignment is for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour night shifts. The RN will provide critical neonatal care, monitor infants, and collaborate with the care team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and NRP certifications, and possibly additional credentials before starting. TotalMed RN offers benefits and ongoing support for travelers.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' recent acute care experience required.
• BLS, NRP; additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to sick and premature infants in the NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Assess nutrition and provide specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy and support.
• Monitor and adjust equipment such as incubators and ventilators.
