Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Neonatal ICU (NICU) Travel Nurse in Baltimore, MD for a 13-week assignment. You will work 36 hours per week in 12-hour rotating shifts. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts with a tax-free stipend to be determined.

The role requires BLS and at least 2 years of RN experience, preferably in NICU settings. Travel employment offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

BLS certification is required.
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in NICU or neonatal settings.

Responsibilities

Care for infants transitioning to extrauterine life.
Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action as needed.
Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
Monitor and adjust NICU equipment such as incubators and ventilators.

NICU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
RNs should be able to easily lift 10-20 pounds of equipment at times.
NICU Travel Nurses may face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
