Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro ICU for a travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, BLS and ACLS, and 18 months of Neuro ICU experience.

You will provide care for adults with life-threatening brain-related conditions, manage ventilators and other life-support equipment, and document all care meticulously. Travel allowances, housing options, and industry benefits are offered through MedPro.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and educate family members.

• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.

Duties Responsibilities

Neuro ICU Nurse (RN) possesses the skills needed to manage the care of adult patients experiencing life-threatening brain related problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions related.

• Provide patient care as well as education and support to the patient's family.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
