Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The right MRI Tech must have 1 year of experience, BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and state licensing where required.

As an MRI Tech, you will prepare patients, operate MRI equipment, and ensure high-quality images for physicians. You will also position patients, administer contrast, and collaborate with radiologists to support accurate

Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI experience
• BLS and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
• State licensing when required

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and explain imaging procedures
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure
• Interpret doctors' instructions for imaging
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and PPE
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start IVs and administer contrast per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for quality and label correctly
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Use McKesson PACS system
