Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 16-week assignment in Burlington, VT. The role requires 1 year of MRI experience, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and BLS. Expect nights, 40 hours per week, and travel considerations.

The MRI Tech will operate MRI equipment, position patients, collaborate with radiologists, and ensure imaging quality and safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI experience required.
• BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with MR registration.
• State licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment.
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
