Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 14-week assignment in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role requires ARRT MR certification or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience, and includes 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

The MRI Technologist will perform imaging procedures, maintain MR safety, and ensure accurate documentation and coding. Travel stipends and housing assistance are part of the offer, with benefits through ARMStaffing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent MR program.
• MR registry must be obtained within 18 months of hire or primary registry.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Active ARRT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS MR certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Compliance with PA state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MR safety within the department.
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams/equipment.
• Prepare, review, and archive imaging procedures.
• Present protocol-based information to physicians before exams.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocols.
• Assess patient history and orders per departmental protocols.
• Document patient history in EHR.
• Communicate with patients to alleviate fears and ensure cooperation.
• Ensure exams are coded, tracked, and documented.
• Perform additional duties per system-wide competencies.
