Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a traveling MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Houston, TX. The role requires 1 year of experience, BLS, and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification with state licensing if required. 8-hour shifts, rotating, 40 hours per week, travel employment.

Responsibilities include patient screening, MRI safety, operating MRI equipment, assisting radiologists, administering contrast, and maintaining records. TotalMed Allied offers benefits and guaranteed hours for travelers.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as MRI Technologist required.
• BLS certification required; ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with active registration; state licensing if required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and explain imaging procedures to patients.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Position patients for MRI scans and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist radiologist during procedures and load contrast media as directed.
• Evaluate MRI images for quality and proper labeling.
• Follow safety procedures when handling radiation and use power injectors for contrast.
• Maintain accurate patient records and utilize PACS system.
