TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 9-week assignment in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role requires 1 year of MRI experience, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and BLS, with a 40-hour work week and evening shifts.

Responsibilities include patient prep, MRI safety screening, image acquisition quality checks, and collaboration with radiologists. The position is travel-based with pay per week and potential tax-free stipends.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.
• MRI Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Requirements*: ARRT (MR), BLS, ARMRIT (MRI), 2 Years
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Responsabilités

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
