Medasource is seeking a travel MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Avon, Indiana. This role accommodates travel and local candidates, with a three-day weekend schedule and 12-hour shifts, focusing on high-quality MRI exams while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The position requires MRI certification and state licensure as applicable, plus BLS if required. You will review orders, position patients, perform scans, monitor during procedures, document results, and uphold safety

• Experience performing MRI examinations with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories and physician orders to determine appropriate MRI procedures.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and answer questions to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, medical devices, and other contraindications.
• Prepare patients and imaging equipment for examinations.
• Position patients appropriately and perform MRI scans according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to changes in their condition.
• Evaluate image quality and repeat or adjust scans when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate imaging results according to department procedures.
• Follow MRI safety standards, infection control practices, and quality assurance protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions as needed.

Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Shift: Three 12-hour shifts
On-Call: Every other Monday, 6:00 PM–5:30 AM

Schedule Requirements

• On-call coverage every other Monday from 6:00 PM–5:30 AM.
• Must be available to meet all scheduled shift and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous MRI Technologist experience.
• Appropriate MRI certification and state licensure, if required.
• Current BLS certification, if required by the facility.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced imaging environment.
