Job Summary
MRI Technologist Ellsworth, Maine. This position involves working in a general imaging department with a focus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The role requires providing high-quality imaging services to a diverse patient population, primarily adults, with some older pediatric cases. The assignment will involve rotating shifts with a schedule cycle of Monday through Thursday in one week and Tuesday through Friday the next, repeating bi-weekly. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently at times and collaborating with a support team when available.

Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, rotating between Monday-Thursday one week and Tuesday-Friday the next, with a cycle repeating bi-weekly.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ARRT-Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT certification; State license; BLS certification; two years of MRI experience, including a mixture of acute and outpatient cases; experience with patient types such as soft tissue injuries, head/neck/spine, oncology, and extremities.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Philips MRI equipment; experience working independently; excellent communication skills, self-starters, multitasking abilities, and commitment to high-quality imaging.
• Support on the Unit: Lead technicians in other modalities, manager or supervisor support, Rapid Response/Code Team, RRT, radiologist availability Wednesday and Thursday for interpretation, hospitalist and emergency room physicians available 24/7, and no department transporter.
• Technology/Equipment: Cerner electronic medical record (EMR), Agfa Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), 1.5 Tesla Philips Ingenia Ambition MRI scanner.
• Other Notes: First-week orientation; no weekend rotation; no on-call duty; not holiday required; scrubs should be professional solid color with no graphics or logos; free parking available.
