TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Louisville, KY. The role requires 1 year of MRI experience, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, BLS, and state licensure where required.

Travel position with 40 hours per week, evenings, 8-hour shifts. Start date 11/23/2026 for 13 weeks; responsibilities include performing MRI procedures, patient safety, IV/contrast administration, and PACS use. Compensation is per travel assignment with stipends as applicable.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MRI experience required.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification with registration.
• BLS required; state licensing as applicable.
• Able to stand/walk long periods; knowledge of anatomy/physiology.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and explain procedures to patients.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Position patients for MRI with immobilization.
• Assist radiologist with procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and label images.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast.
• Follow safety procedures with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Use McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Louisville, KY. The right MRI Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

MRI Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
