TotalMed Allied is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel assignment in Midland, Michigan. The role runs 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, days shift, and a travel schedule.

The MRI Tech will operate MRI equipment, ensure image quality, and coordinate with physicians for interpretation. You will prepare patients for imaging and follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff.

• One year of MRI experience required.

We are looking for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Midland, MI. The right MRI Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. MRI Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
