Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract in Kealakekua, Hawaii. The role offers 36-hour work weeks with 12-hour rotating shifts. Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, ensuring image accuracy, and supporting patients through the procedures.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and the physical ability to perform necessary tasks. Immediate start available with top-paying contracts and supportive agency services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience as MRI Technologist.
• Registration in magnetic resonance imaging and state-specific licensing when required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and ensure image accuracy.
• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance.
• Screen patients for MRI safety and interpret doctor instructions.
• Position patients using immobilization and protective equipment.
